Log Siding & Components

There are many advantages to using our products for your building projects but the most important is that our products are not only tongue and groove on both sides; they are also end-matched. By using the end-matched paneling and siding, you do not have to stop on a stud and the only measuring necessary is when you get to the last piece in a row. The results are a 10-15% labor savings and very little waste.

Our products have been kiln-dried to the following moisture content, which will result in less shrinkage: (Paneling- 6-8%) (Quarter Log - 10-12%) (Half Log - 12-15%).

Our quarter log siding comes in two sizes: 2x6 and 2x8, both in cedar and pine. Our half log siding comes in three sizes also: 3x6 and 3x8and 3x10 but the 10" is only made with pine and is hand hewn. The siding listed above can all be hand hewn if you would prefer.

We make corners, which match whatever size and kind of siding you use. Our corners can be vertical, butt and pass or saddle notch, depending on your preference.

You will also want to trim your windows and doors. We have D-trim in variable profiles, which will match whatever kind of siding you prefer.

Our deck railing, which is our specialty, is made of cedar and accents the log siding perfectly, even the pine. Our deck railing is also used on the inside for loft railing, and stairway railing. The standard deck railing includes: 5" x 54" planned posts; approximately 3-1/2" t0 4" planned rails; approximately 3" x 30" planned spindles; and the cost is only $16/LF.
